Paper Mill For Bank Note

SPMCIL is an Indian government-owned corporation that engages in the production of bank notes, coins, non- judicial stamps. postage stamps, and other government related documents for India. Established - 2006

Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited is the one of the subsidiaries of Reserve Bank of India. Prints bank notes (Indian rupees) for Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Established in - 1995 It has two presses one in Mysore and Salboni. It contains nine units which include four presses, four mints, and a paper mill.

India Government Mint operates four mints in the country for the production of coins.

  • Mumbai, Maharashtra
  • Kolkata, West Bengal
  • Hyderabad, Telangana
  • Noida, Uttar Pradesh
  • Under The Coinage Act, 1906, which has been amended and now known as Coinage Act 2010 the Government of India responsibility of the production. Supply to the RB1 for distribution RBI places an annual indent for the purpose production programme of Coins. Coins can be issued up to the denomination of Rs.1000. Coins in India presently - 50 paisa, 1,2.5,10 rupee, Up to paisa coins called 'small coins', Coins rupee1 and above called - Rupee coins
